What we keep, and why.

What we collect. Your name and email when you RSVP, propose a talk, or subscribe. Dietary needs if you give them. Company and role if you add them to your profile. Whether you bring a guest; we never ask for the guest's name. Feedback you give after a meetup.

Why. To hold your seat, order the right food, email you about the meetup you signed up for, and review talk proposals. The newsletter goes only to people who opted in.

Emails. A confirmation when you RSVP, a seat offer when you are on the waitlist, and a notice when an event you RSVP'd to changes. A reminder the day before and a short feedback request the morning after; turn those two off on your profile. Speakers get emails about their proposal.

Member directory. The directory lists members who chose to be listed. It is off for you until you choose otherwise in your profile: hidden, visible to signed-in members only, or public. A public listing has its own page that anyone can open and search engines can index. A listing shows your name, or a directory name you choose, plus company, role, headline, the links you add, and a photo if you upload one. The photo also shows next to your talk on an event page when you speak. It never shows your email, your RSVPs, or your attendance. Choose Hidden to leave the directory at any time.

Who sees it. The volunteer organizers. Sponsors do not get the attendee list. A venue may need a name list for building access; we tell you on the event page when that is the case.

How long. As long as you have an account. Download everything we hold about you, or delete your account and all of it, from your profile page. A talk you gave stays on the past agenda without your name. Or email brad.risse@devobsessed.com and we do it for you.

Cookies. One session cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising trackers.

Connected apps. An AI client you sign in through this site, such as Claude Code, holds a token that lets it act as you. Your profile page lists those clients and disconnects any of them.

Recordings. Talks are recorded. The audience is not the subject of the recording. Tell an organizer if you do not want to appear.
